This Privacy Policy describes how LifeSync ("the Company," "We," "Us," or "Our") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use the LifeSync application ("the Service"), and explains your privacy rights. Capitalized terms used in this policy have the meanings defined below, regardless of whether they appear in singular or plural form.

Application

The software program provided by the Company, named LifeSync.

Country

Refers to Nepal.

Device

Any device that can access the Service, e.g. a computer, cellphone, or tablet.

Personal Data

Any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual.

You

The individual accessing or using the Service, or the entity on whose behalf they do so.

2. Information We Collect

LifeSync collects only the data necessary to provide its features. All information is stored locally on your device:

Audio

With your prior permission, We access your Device's audio files to allow you to select custom alarm sounds and music. No audio data is recorded, analyzed, or transmitted.

Focus Shield (optional)

If you opt in to Focus Shield, LifeSync may request Android Usage Access to read how long selected apps (e.g. social, short video, games) were in the foreground on your Device. This data is used only to show totals, compare against limits you set, and progress related quests. It is processed on your Device and is not sold. You can deny or revoke Usage Access in system settings at any time — scroll honesty quests still work without it.

If you enable friction, a low-priority foreground service may run while Shield is on to detect when you open tracked apps and show an in-app pause screen ("The System asks why") before you continue. While you remain in a tracked app, the service may show periodic session check-ins on a timer you configure (5–30 minutes) to help break autopilot scrolling. No usage data is sent off-device for this feature.

Local Data

The following information is stored locally on your device only:

Alarm settings and schedules
Reminders and schedules
Music player preferences and playlist information
Focus Shield limits, quest progress, and streaks
App settings and preferences

You can enable or disable access to any of this information at any time through your Device settings.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is your responsibility:

✓ Local-Only Storage: All data is stored exclusively on your device's local storage. We do not use cloud storage, databases, or external servers.

✓ No Data Transmission: LifeSync never sends your personal data, alarms, reminders, Focus Shield usage data, or music preferences to any external server or third party.

✓ Device Security: Data security depends on your device's security settings. We recommend:

Keeping your device's operating system updated
Using a device lock/passcode
Enabling device encryption where available

✓ Data Deletion: When you uninstall LifeSync, all stored data is automatically removed from your device (subject to your device's data recovery practices).

4. Security of Your Personal Data

The security of your Personal Data is important to Us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, We cannot guarantee its absolute security.

5. Permissions & Access

LifeSync requests the following permissions to power its features. Each is optional and can be revoked at any time:

Used by Focus Shield to read foreground app time for selected apps, processed entirely on-device.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and are aware that your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us. If We become aware that We have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, We take steps to remove that information from Our device storage.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page, and via email and/or a prominent notice on Our Service prior to the change becoming effective, updating the "Last Updated" date above. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes — changes are effective when posted.
